At pick-up today a quiet mum I’ve seen a lot thanked me for wearing my Palestine pin and keffiyeh. I told her I’d long stopped caring what anyone thought and she told me quietly she’s Palestinian and all her family are in Gaza and she’s too scared to wear her own.

It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the death of General Sir Mike Jackson GCB, CBE, DSO, on 15 October surrounded by his family. General ‘Jacko’ served with distinction for over 40 years, finishing his career as Chief of the General Staff. He will be greatly missed, and long remembered. Utrinque Paratus.

German Foreign Minister Baerbock defends Israel's killings of Palestinian civilians. "Civilian places" lose "their protected status" because "terrorists abuse that", she claims. This is of course nonsense under international law. The International Criminal Court accuses Israel of war crimes and crimes against humanity. But Baerbock wants to justify the crimes. "That's what Germany stands for", she claims. What a disgrace.

A Jordanian court has sentenced investigative journalist Hiba Abu Taha to a year in prison and imposed a fine of 5,000 Jordanian dinars (approximately $7,000) following her publication of a report about Jordanian companies involved in relations with Israel.
