At @sxsw, MacPaw CTIO Vira Tkachenko @iVira made the case that most of us are barely scratching the surface of what our Macs can do — and that AI is the thing that finally makes them live up to their name. A few ideas from her talk worth sitting with: ▪️ The cloud is convenient, but it comes at a cost: your privacy and your data. ▪️ Local AI changes that. On-device intelligence means power stays on your machine — not on someone else's server. ▪️ Cloud AI and local AI don't compete. They coexist. The real question is knowing when to use which.
