MCSO is asking the public's help in locating 15-year old Angelena Minges. Last seen Thursday, 3/19/2026, around midnight, in Tonopah at her residence near 425th Ave. and West Cherry Lynn.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is aware of the violent incident reported in Detroit and extends its heartfelt condolences to the victims, their families, and members of that community. Our thoughts are with all those affected by this senseless act of violence.

Gina Steffes was booked into the MCSO ITR facility today for Animal Cruelty.  The arrest of Steffes is the result of a months long investigation where she knowingly and repeatedly failed to provide adequate care, shelter, and sanitary living conditions for animals in her care.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is actively serving a search warrant near Old US-80 and Salome Highway after receiving reports of approximately 10 dogs suspected of being neglected.

MCSO stands beside our brothers and sisters of the Arizona Department of Public Safety as they brought Trooper Paramedic Hunter Bennett to Phoenix to prepare for his final resting place. We honor his service, his sacrifice, and the legacy he leaves behind.

MCSO is asking the public’s help in locating 16 y/0 Annelise Rose Angeles. Annelise was last seen on 10/30/25 in her home in Goodyear, AZ. Annelise is believed to be in the north Phoenix/Paradise Valley area with friends. If she is seen, please contact MCSO at 602-876-1011.

Sheriff Jerry Sheridan and the entire Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office extends our prayers and deepest condolences to our partners at the Arizona Department of Public Safety in light of the tragic incident in Flagstaff late last night.

Trinidad Bustos, 63, was arrested following an investigation into an illegal cockfighting operation in Tonopah. Bustos was arrested and charged with felony/misdemeanor offenses of facilitating and being present at a cockfight. MCSO remains committed to protecting all animals.

MCSO is asking the public’s help in locating 17-year-old Brennan Tatum. Brennan was last seen traveling East on a self-propelled scooter wearing blue jeans and a T-shirt on E Cholla Rd in Mesa, AZ.

MCSO is asking the public’s help in locating 16-year-old Laila Champagne Garcia. Laila is a student at Red Mountain High School and was last seen at school on January 26th. If you have seen Laila or know of her whereabouts, you are asked to please contact MCSO at 602-876-1011.

Due to the contagious nature of the condition, the dogs were treated on-site and placed under a 48-hour quarantine with adequate food and water. Following quarantine, the dogs were transported to MASH, where they are receiving proper medical attention and shelter.

On 1/23/26 District 2 deputies responded to a welfare check at a rural residence in the Harquahala Valley and discovered multiple dogs showing signs of a severe mange outbreak. The Animal Crimes Unit and an MCSO veterinarian responded.
