@FanSince09 I was thinking about this. If Joel actually meant what he said, why couldn’t he just buy out the entire secondary market like on stubhub, and literally have someone standing outside giving tix to real fans. It’s a drop in the bucket for him financially.

Unless there are changes to the resale market, Indon’t know what anyone’s supposed to do about this. The economy sucks and Knicks fans are willing to pay crazy asking prices. Nobody’s gonna turn down like a 3x difference. 2 playoff knicks talent more than cover the cost of the entire season for some people.

I think Nori can flat out hit - (likely more than Reyes, Kemp, and anyone else they have trotted out there) Bohm stinks, time to move on and thats coming from a guy who have liked Bohm. A Marsh / Garcia platoon is at least two MLB-level players platooning instead of Marsh and a RHB that can't hit (though Garcia isnt much better)

If the #Phillies dont fire Rob Thomson and want to make some changes. Nori to LF Marsh/Garcia platoon in RF Bohm DFA/Kemp back plays 3B #RingTheBell

@MikeGillShow All coming from love of our teams. But your suggestions are 1. Calling a guy up that doesnt play the position and is in AA 2. Platooning two of our “Better” guys and leaving 2 other OF spots open for bad hitters 3. DFA a guy who has OPS of 412 for a guy who has *checks* 282 OPS

Pretty concerning Wheeler start for Reading today. Velo seems to be around 90-92 and the fastball is getting hit. He’s also not throwing it a ton trying to use all of his offspeed pitches and sneak the fastball by hitters, which is not how he usually pitches. Has allowed two homers as well. Hopefully can just chalk it up to it being cold and in the mid-40’s but still.

It’s like once you are eliminated from the playoffs, you should actually be given points towards your percentage for the games you win. Does that make sense? So, if you’re eliminated from the playoffs and there’s 10 games left, if you go 0 for 10, you should have a lower percentage of getting a higher pick. If you go 6 and 4 in your last 10, that means you are trying to win. The wins give you closer percentage to a higher pick. So those 6 wins instead of you having a 30% chance, right? If you go 0 for 10, if you can win 6 of your last 10 after you been eliminated, you actually have a 35% chance. So they reward you for pushing all the way to the end” (Via @RoadTrippinShow)

@DavidAFrench One step further. As soon as a team is mathematically eliminated, they start counting wins (raw number). Which ever team has the highest total wins since they were eliminated gets the first pick, and so on. Gives the worst teams a head start and promotes trying to win.

I’m going to fix the NBA’s tanking problem right now: Draft order is the reverse order of non-playoff teams. Best team to miss the play-in gets first pick, then the order is determined from there. (Second-best team to miss play-in gets second pick, and so on). All the worst teams will have huge incentives to play hard. Problem solved. You’re welcome :)
