Renowned poet, activist, educator, and Morehouse Mom, Nikki Giovanni, has passed at 81. Before becoming a pivotal voice in the Black Arts Movement, she graduated from Fisk University, and her only son, Thomas Watson Giovanni, graduated from Morehouse College in 1994.
