One of Florida's most stunning natural springs...Silver Glen Springs and its iconic palm tree that rises straight from the water is a clear, bright spring tucked inside Ocala National Forest. The main swimming area is wide and open, with water so clear you can see straight to the sandy bottom. Palm trees line the edge of the spring, giving it a classic Old Florida look that feels untouched. About 65 million gallons of water flow out of the spring each day, holding steady at around 73 degrees year-round before moving into Lake George. Snorkeling is one of the best things to do here, and during warmer months you can often float alongside large schools of sunshine bass and striped bass drawn into the cool spring water.

Florida is becoming the most compelling state in the USA. 0% income tax rate; soon to be 0% property taxes, runs a budget surplus; has $15B in reserves. It will become the fastest growing state in the next year. States should take note of what is working there and try to emulate.

Over the past several days, I’ve been in Baghdad supporting the ongoing transfer of dangerous ISIS detainees from Syria to Iraqi prisons. @ODNIgov's National Counterterrorism Center is providing direct support, IDing high value ISIS prisoners to ensure the worst of the worst are transferred securely and face justice. Thank you to the @IraqiGovt for your strong partnership in this important mission. In highly productive meetings with Iraqi intelligence and counterterrorism leaders this week, including National Security Advisor @qassimalaraji, the Iraqi Ministry of Defense @modmiliq, and the Iraqi Counter Terrorism Service @iraqicts, we discussed our continued fight to defeat ISIS. There is an urgent need to disarm Iranian-backed militias, and under @POTUS’s leadership, the U.S. is committed to working closely with our Iraqi partners to advance this cause, support regional stability, and eliminate the threat of ISIS once and for all. @USEmbBaghdad

It’s a privilege to arrive here in South Korea on my first international trip as Under Secretary of War for Policy.  The ROK is a model ally that has committed to meet the global standard of spending 3.5% of GDP on defense and take greater responsibility for its own defense in the context of our alliance, in line with the National Defense Strategy. I look forward to discussing with ROK counterparts how to modernize and advance our vital alliance.
