Yayoi Kusama is one of the world’s most celebrated living artists. Her polka-dotted pumpkin and flower sculptures are recognised globally and her infinity mirror rooms are pivotal to the turn towards immersive art. Kusama's work is on display at @NGVMelbourne until 21 April.

It got down in the negatives today in Chicago, so #ootd is this 1893-6 evening cape made of wool and ostrich feathers. Short capes with a high collar were popular at the time and provided warmth, but with the light color, it was mostly decorative. @NGVMelbourne #Fashionhistory
