By creating a 50-state regulatory dragnet, by pushing moratoriums, by flooding the system with safety theater and environmental reports, we are successfully slowing down American AI development while China accelerates. This is not an accident. This is not incompetence. This is strategy. The more the United States ties itself in regulatory knots, the more the collective gains ground. The more American companies are forced to comply with endless rules, the closer we get to true equality, equally mediocre, equally controlled, equally behind.
