Defensive coordinator Gary Patterson explains why he’s adapted the white stripe on the defenders helmets during practice. “It’s an eyes thing” when reviewing the practice film they’re able to see the players snap their eyes by seeing the stripe move. When they get to the point where they’re snapping their eyes giving signals and doing the right things— the stripe will come off.

If you’re not already, here are some things that should be in your training routine: 1. 10 yard sprints 2. Hill or 10 yard sled sprints 3. Loaded vertical/broad jumps 4. Standard vertical/broad jumps 5. Repeat contact jumps 6. Maximal landings 7. 1-2 heavy upper/lower compound lifts 8. Interval conditioning
