Just a PSA the easiest way to avoid the update is to uninstall The Sims 4 and play The Sims 3

Though TS2 Console doesn't really HAVE any "movies" beyond the opening and ending. Maybe more were intended? Or this could've been used for something entirely different.

@alextbbtenjoyer It's definitely gonna have some kind of subscription :( Best case scenario is that it'll be a way to just like all the packs without purchasing each one -- but they still give you the option to buy 'em without the subscription.

Considering that the game now costs nearly $2,000 if you were to buy it + the DLC full price, EA probably thinks some people would rather buy a subscription to access all the packs than to individually buy them. If true, this is absurd.

@Sims_Nostalgia It just feels redundant when you have the relationship panel, and the friend requirement for promotions. Oh, and the social need definitely makes it obsolete -- as it covers both.

The Sims 2 originally had 9 needs, including Family & Friends. Would you have wanted that in the final game?

Here's how the cheat works in the retail build. (Which can only be accessed with Developer Cheats enabled)

The Sims 2 Console M4 20 Prototype: "I ain't afraid of no Ghost!!" cheat. This cheat should summon a ghost that'll scare your Sim at the bonfire. However, it hasn't been properly implemented in this build yet. Instead, it summons default male Sims who can't be interacted with.

"First Person" view cheat in The Sims Bustin' Out. This was a leftover from the first Sims, and doesn't seem to be implemented correctly in Bustin' Out.

UI icons from the earliest available prototype of The Sims 2 Console compared to the retail release. Mostly, the icons were smaller in the beta. However, there are a few different ones (or nonexistent ones!)

@Sims_Nostalgia I don't mind at all! I really enjoy seeing my screenshots get used, 'cos it makes me happy to know my content is circulating online! :D Esp when it comes to caps from the prototype, as content regarding them is quite rare to find online!

The Sims 2 on console (2005)

@Sims_Nostalgia This prototype used models from previous games as placeholer Sims. (The Bustin' Out Firefighter, and some models from Urbz. They're missing their textures, hence why they're pink)

@Sims_Nostalgia I wish, but nope! The Sims 2 Console has 3 prototypes that have leaked online, and can be played via emulators! This screenshot is from the earliest build (July 29th, around 3 months before the retail release). I just make videos and content playing and discussing them!
