They're working, showering, sleeping in trailers, and hoping to save enough for first and last month's rent. Meanwhile politicians celebrate population growth, record housing targets, and labour shortages. The reality is working Canadians are being priced out of their own country.

Toronto's 'Do West Fest' happened this weekend and it was a complete shitshow. YNs (young black thugs) were climbing on the roof of stores and cars, lighting firecrackers in the crowd, women were sexually harassed, people were robbed, people were getting squished in like a mosh pit, others were having liquids dumped on them, etc... The grocery rebate is a complete scam. Firstly, it is the gst credit, renamed to grocery rebate. Nothing new here. A gold painted turd 💩. My dad called CRA, asked why, they said because he made too much money… my parents are low income since my dad was forced into retirement several years ago because of a vehicle accident. I actually don’t care who’s LA Mayor. I just want to hire someone who is willing to bring on an adequate number of @LAPD for a city this size; properly equip the @LAFD; pick up the trash in the streets and on the freeways; get rid of all homeless encampments and put the mentally ill people who light fires, harass us at red lights, walk onto the freeways, etc into treatment; uphold existing laws and punish the increasing crime; fill potholes and file down the tire-popping ridges in the roads and freeways; shutdown and prosecute street take-overs that block traffic and scar the intersections; and stop “losing” billions of our tax dollars on various unfinished city projects. It’s a very low bar. @spencerpratt was the only person in this race who planned on doing something about any of it. I’d be fine if Bass as the @MayorOfLA had been interested in doing any of that the past 4 years. I’d be fine if @nithyavraman had gone in this direction during her years in City Council. But now it seems they want us to believe that most of the people in LA just love the city as the mess that it is, and in fact want the very people who made it this way to continue on and make it even worse. Ok. I don’t believe you at all. But, I guess we’ll all get to watch you make a mess of the Olympics and any other event (natural or planned) that occurs here. It’s remarkable that competence is in such short supply.
