@g2i_co Overall, I am happy with the G2i interview process but feel like the step after needs to be a bit more hands on to match devs with clients. I'm curious to see how it goes with them though. #FullStackJobSearch 11/n

@g2i_co I was accepted within a few hours of the 1:1 but that only meant that I get access to their private/vetted job board and I will have to apply to jobs and win the bid among other engineers. I have applied to a couple already with no response so far. #FullStackJobSearch 10/n

@g2i_co They quickly followed up with 1:1 interview with their engineer which was a bit weird because it felt like a lightning round of trivia quiz. TBH the questions were on topic and I was given the chance to discuss answers so it felt like a fair game. #FullStackJobSearch 9/n

. @g2i_co experience was great! Their online screening was very well thought out. They let me pick 1 of 3 problems to solve, I picked #reactnative one and the task was to build a trivia app from the given spec. No timeboxing, liberty choose tools etc. #FullStackJobSearch 8/n

I don't get how this could be the basis of a rejection for a senior engineer candidate. I'm happy to hear anyone explain why I'm wrong but overall, I will not be going to toptal again. #FullStackJobSearch 7/n

In my 11yrs of experience in building software for various industries at various scales using numerous tools, I have never had an issue or heard anyone else have one due to not solving a commonly known algorithm problem within 15m. #FullStackJobSearch 6/n

When I failed to finish the given task within 15m, the interview was cut short and I was told to try again after 3 months. That's it. No other discussion about my approach, no other pointers about what I could have done better etc. #FullStackJobSearch 5/n

@toptal @codility ... solve a leetcode problem within 15m while the interviewer just watched me code through screenshare. I was only allowed to google for code syntax, nothing more. I couldn't remember how to add left-pad to an array and was not allowed to google that. #FullStackJobSearch 4/n

@toptal They do initial online screening on @codility and I got only 49% on that but was given a chance to make a case for myself via email with the recruiter. I appreciated that, a lot! but immediately after, the next step with 1:1 interview I was asked to... #FullStackJobSearch 3/n

. @toptal experience was abysmal/annoying. with all due respect to leetcoders out there and trust me, I understand that there is value in knowing how to solve leetcode problems but sticking to leetcode-ONLY interview practice just doesn't make sense to me. #FullStackJobSearch 2/n

I've interviewed with a couple of dev agencies and have mixed feelings. I've checked some of them out in the past too but it never ends up working out. Sharing my experience for anyone who wants to try them or have tried and got pointers for me/others. #FullStackJobSearch 1/n
