I get asked often about my work and if I sell the items I make so I thought I would provide some information on my work. Yes I do sell my work and I do a lot of commissioned pieces as well. No I do not currently have a website, it is still under construction and when it is finished I will post a link in my Bio. So how do I sell currently, well I sell to many people right here on X. If you see something you like or want to know if I can make something specific just send me a DM and we can start the conversation. I communicate with customers via DM and then will offer an email address or in some cases a phone number if that feels more comfortable for you. Thus far this has worked out very well and have made 100's of transactions from this platform with zero complaints. If you have and questions please feel free to ask via a reply to this post or a DM. Working on salt box lids, all I have to do is apply the hand rubbed tung oil to the hard maple lids. These will ship out first of the week to some, very patient customers.

The silhouette of the palms in the golden sunset and ocean breeze symbolize the serene and calm beauty of Holy Week. I took this photo across from the pier in Oceanside, CA on the eve of Palm Sunday. Not in silver, nor in gold, but on a colt, a story told. A king of peace on humble knees, passing through the bowing trees. Green branches wave, green branches rise, to shout a King beneath the skies. They lay them down upon the road, to honor Him who takes our load. "Hosanna!" shout the young and old, a joyful prophecy foretold. "Save us now," the hearts do sing, for this is our triumphant King. Palm Sunday contrasts the excitement of the crowd with Jesus, the humble, suffering servant. We offer sincere worship during Holy Week and prepare for the solemnity of Good Friday.

Some surprises, only one piece cracked. I have 4 pieces traditional Raku glazed and the one plate I did in horse hair and feathers. I think the tall white vase I will try a re- firing of just to see what happens.

@Shepherds_Wheel I didn't say it that way, but I would never turn down a few pieces if you brought it with you. You have kept us full this weekend with brisket, cheesecake and cookies. I know I'm close to your age, but you could still adopt me 😂😂

Haven’t used the Raku kiln in a couple of years, so I’m baking out any moisture from the refractory fabric lining before this afternoons Raku firing.

@SEKyTeresa So what you are saying is, can I make you guys a brisket 😁

@MissBertaGerber That’s probably my electric kiln inside the studio you normally see me loading.

@Shepherds_Wheel First time seeing it. Always see you loading the inside one.

First firing for the day underway, target for temperature is 1850° F it will reach that very quickly.

What’s the brand on your temp gauge please?

@Rstroh5 It’s not really the bricks that ma me it work, the inside is covered red with refractory blanket. If you didn’t have that those are just regular brick and they would break

@Shepherds_Wheel Ah cool I was thinking like keeping fire for like a hour. But those bricks will hold heat

Last load for the Raku kiln today, let’s light it up!

@Rstroh5 A 30 pound cylinder will last for a long time, well over 8 firings. As for how long i fire fast so less than 15 minutes from ambient air temperature to target temperature 1850°F

@Shepherds_Wheel How much gas you go through how long does fire stay on

The amazing thing about a Raku firing is how rapidly you can get the kiln up to temperature. I could easily fire to cone 10 and above in this little guy.
