So it turns out that writing is thinking. It's the same process. "Writing compels us to think — not in the chaotic, non-linear way our minds typically wander, but in a structured, intentional manner." Outsourcing writing to LLMs is THE SAME THING as outsourcing thinking.

AI automates tasks, not jobs, and when a task gets cheaper, demand for the job grows.
AI cannot automate jobs end-to-end because it lacks autonomy and cannot operate without supervision. There is still zero job from 2022 that can be performed end-to-end by AI, not even translator or customer support associate.

here's my morning convo with claude this morning (first message has a screenshot showing a completed build) it ran out of tokens, i went back to codex, it found the valid bug claude wrote, and continued on. but codex does the same thing too all of the time. it all sucks.
