Recasting her & Joan of Arc as “secretly male” or casting men who “identify as women” in these roles isn’t progressive, it’s straight up misogyny that denies female excellence & replaces real women with men in women’s stories. Powerful women build history as women. We don’t need historical revisionism to flatter modern gender ideology. Women & girls matter. We should not be airbrushed out of our own history by male entitlement dressed up as “inclusion.”

Zero sex scenes. Hardly even kissing in the BBC version. But some of the best romantic films of all time. Sex scenes are 100% unnecessary in film.
