When a body of water is stagnant, it becomes toxic. It turns into a breeding ground for diseases and filth. It loses its purity, becomes tainted, discoloured and looks sickly But when that same body of water is moving, when it’s moving FAST, it becomes clean, it purifies itself, it gets rid of pollutants and debris that would otherwise poison it Same water, but it’s condition changes based on whether it’s stagnant or moving YOU are the same, bro When you are stagnant, you become a breeding ground for depression, for anxiety, for stress, for misery But when you’re moving, when you’re moving FAST, you’re in your purest form, your cleanest form, your best form The cure to your misery is in movement Away from where you are, and towards something better

Ibn al-Qayyim: “From Allāh’s mercy upon His servant is that He tests him with a trial which he can’t disclose to others nor can he find anyone who can understand it properly — so that his heart doesn’t become attached to anyone else instead of Allāh who he goes and complains to”
