We've had upcoming episodes planned for over a month now, for @TheRoundtaBulls. Episodes that I was extremely excited to do. & now, with Stacey's passing, I just feel empty. That's the craziest part about life. You're just supposed to keep going. We're all just supposed to pick right up and keep moving like nothing ever happened, because at the end of the day, what's the alternative? To stop everything? I can't stress enough how much of a dream & goal of mine it was to work so hard & perform well enough to be able to meet Stacey one day. & now that's gone. Part of me feels like "what's the point?" Another part feels like this is the part where I go even harder & try to do MUCH BETTER work & become a MUCH BETTER PERSON, IN HONOR of Stacey. Idk.. I'm venting right now into the void & I'm sure no one's gonna read all this or give a sh*t what I'm saying. But you never know who might read your frantic thoughts & find peace in them for themselves. I've learned that for myself from reading @the1tonygill's work with Bleacher Theology. The show *will* go on & I'm not okay right now mentally, but I WILL be okay. & we can learn that from Stacey as well. Even when everything looked HOPELESS for us, or the Bulls were losing by FIFTY some nights, you would never be able to tell because Stacey KEPT FIGHTIN. He stayed OPTIMISTIC. He stayed HOPEFUL. Maybe that's the point. That nothing's ever a "loss" until you accept it as such. So here's to you, @Stacey21King. I hope I can do some shit that would make you proud & that would've been worthy of shaking your hand one day. I hope this Bulls team makes you proud & vindicates you for believing in them when they didn't even seem to value or believe in themselves. I hope I can just be a good PERSON. & be a light for someone the way that you were for us If you've actually made it this far to the bottom of this tweet, God Bless you & much love. I'm having a hard time listening to this NBA Finals broadcast and thinking about Stacey King. I can't be the only Bulls fan hearing him right now. He was simply The Best and his passing hurts a lot more than I could have possibly imagined. Basketball without the hot sauce sucks.

We remember people less for what they did & more for how they made us feel. It’s what’s showing up in the grief around Stacey King. His accomplishments matter, but what lingers is his energy & how he spread joy. how you make people feel along the way is what you leave behind

For a couple hours, Bulls basketball is sometimes an escape. It felt like you were kickin it w him + friends/fam, laughing through parts of bad games bc of how he called it, but he also made the big plays and games even bigger and better for YEARS. Thanks for everything, King 🙏🏽
