Cynics say that Fani Willis prosecuted big-names such as Young Thug and Donald Trump to raise her profile so she can one day run for governor. But her remaining supporters argue that she was bravely chasing untouchable criminals econ.st/41tSTGB 👇

Breath and Emotion Connected by Newly Identified Brain Circuit Researchers have discovered a brain circuit connecting the anterior cingulate cortex, pons, and medulla that links voluntary breathing control to emotional states. This circuit slows breathing during calm moments and accelerates it under anxiety, offering a neurological basis for practices like yoga and mindfulness. Experiments in mice revealed that activating this circuit reduced anxiety and slowed breathing, while deactivating it increased stress and breathing rates. These findings highlight how the brain coordinates breathing with behavior and emotion, suggesting potential therapeutic targets for anxiety and panic disorders. Scientists are exploring ways to use this knowledge to develop drugs or interventions that regulate breathing and stress responses.

A narcissist's mindset: That didn’t happen, and if it did, it wasn't that bad. And if it was, it's not a big deal. And if it is, it's not my fault. And if it was, I didn't mean it. And if I did, you made me do it.
