Will we allow the military to destabilize the region, plunging Burma into further violence and chaos?  Or will we hear the calls of the Burmese people, and help them achieve the free, democratic, and peaceful country they deserve? To me, the answer is clear. We must act.

Although formally ceding power to civilians, the Myanmar military has long operated "without civilian oversight." Having violently chased 700,000 Rohingya to Bangladesh, the military has now brought similar tactics..to cities and towns around the country." nytimes.com/2021/03/14/wor…

Am told many areas in #Yangon #Myanmar unable to access data via mobile services. Different screens show various Telcos with low or no signals. Many reliant on home WiFi now. During protests, many have been streaming live videos of violence from ground #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar
