Kenya Red Cross continues to strengthen the capacity of its Aqua Search and Rescue (A-SAR), ensuring responders are ready to act fast and effectively during mass water related emergencies. A-SAR team comprising of members from the Lower Eastern, Central, and Western Kenya has successfully completed a three-day training on boat handling, navigation and use for water rescue missions. The training focused on practical, hands-on skills simulating real life emergency situations. This exercise is part of ongoing Preparedness for Effective Response (PER) activities aimed at enhancing the Red Cross Action Teams (RCATs) aqua rescue capabilities in Kenya.
