On #IndigenousVeteransDay we recognize the important contributions of Indigenous Service members throughout Canada’s history. Today we highlight Chief Joe Dreaver, of Mistawasis Cree Band in Saskatchewan who bravely served in both WWI and WWII.

Tonight, we reflect on and acknowledge the history of Indigenous peoples in Canada, and are committed to doing our part to work towards true Truth and Reconciliation. We are honoured to welcome Chief Alice McKay, elected chief of the Matsqui Nation, Chief Dalton Silver, elected chief of the Sumas Nation, and youth representatives from each nation to drop the puck at tonight's game.
