Theres already risk by depositing in your lending vaults. Lets go all the way and give me staking rewards too. Surely some magic risk management with the right security measures and circuit breakers can be done to make it safe? Backpack gives SOL staking rewards once a week at 4.22% APY. Why would I trade on a DEX that doesnt give me max yield. The lending rates on drift for SOL were always attractive. Give me staking too

The most interesting piece of Drift protocol, that nobody else is doing, is that you earn yield on collateral while trading perps. Degens swinging +/- 25% in a day don't care about this feature, but professional traders running long-term strategies do. Capital efficiency wins.

@sologic00 Probably only possible because it's a CEX? They basically hoover up all of the SOL in their platform. Stake it themselves. Then also lend it within their platform? Dunno.
