I hate the fact that any trans person is forced to be a “trans activist” and needs to have the knowledge and skill to debate transphobes, while enduring so much abuse.
I never wanted to have to advocate for my right to exist.

TPCI literally curates an environment designed to push player adrenaline to the limit. The stage, lights, audience, high stakes prizes, all being recorded in history forever.
IMO when players are stripped of titles or handed losses for showing genuine emotion in that environment, it starts to feel like they’re being treated as props for the broadcast rather than actual competitors.

People shouldn't immediately jump on the narrative that Cerys rule sharked Makani. Makani being the first to comment on it feels like a blatant attempt to get ahold of the narrative. He knows Pokemon won't publicly comment on the penalty, discourse turns into his word vs hers

What we know:
1) a judge is seen physically stopping Cerys from signing the slip
2) a similar ruling was made at WCS25 in UNITE
3) GO just had a similar ruling in finals
At this point if you’re saying she sharked, you probably need to check some internalized biases

Some of you really need to get the facts straight and quit trying to drag down an amazing young woman.
Cerys did not call the Judge, what happened was seen by everyone who was watching. Rules were broken, Judges made the calls, hopefully the young man can learn from this.

i genuinely hate that pokemon effectively doxes all their players by forcing us to use our full government names instead of allowing preferred names, last name initial only, or just gamertags like other esports. my friends had issues at NAIC and it sucked. i hope they change this

Disappointing change by @playpokemon. Worlds 2025 & EUIC 2026 allowed for preferred names on badges. #PokemonXP is only allowing names on Government ID for your badge name. I can only hope support is quick to help those who will need it. (Source: my legal name is not Rex)
