This time last year I had come back from travelling, and endured one of the worst months of my life. No savings, no car, no job, living back at home having to restart my life again at the ripe age of 30. While scrolling through various job sites, it brought me to tears. I thought to myself, is this all I’m worth? A damn sales job, or another admin role, where I tick by, saving for my few moments of happiness each year, I want more. After much deliberation, considering what I enjoyed doing, and what I was good at, I ended up looking into the career of a personal trainer/online coach. Purchasing the online course to be qualified left me with £200 to my name. I took on a few friends for free while I was refining my services and by July 2022, I was fully qualified. This past year has been tough, I’ve had to sacrifice so much. Seeing friends, my weekends, leisure time, all in the pursuit of growing and learning. I’ve studied and learnt more in this year, than in my whole life. I’m now financially in the best position I’ve ever been in, the best mental state and most confident that I will make it big. My pursuit of success will have its downsides and struggles, but helping others with what I do, makes it all worthwhile. Since July of 2022 I’ve helped so many people find the love for their body again, becoming much fitter, healthier and beaming with confidence. As this month ticks by, I’m constantly paying thanks to myself 1 year ago, for having that thought, that single thought of becoming an online coach. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made. If you take one thing from my short story here, it’s that you’re capable of so much more than you think. If you’re unhappy in life, work your ass off and never look back, the road is tough but nothing good ever come easy. Too many of us get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Remember one thing always, no one is coming to save you, you are the defining factor for change in your life. A special thank you to those who are closest to me, lending me an ear to gnaw off in times of struggle. Most notably @madismmusic who is like a brother to me. Now let’s start chapter 2, I’ll be down the gym if you need me 😉
