@CloudZur @retrorobreviews

@CloudZur @retrorobreviews Ну так концепты ≠ игра нейрослоп. Если они всё заменят, вопросов к ним собственно и нет. Капком, Сони и Скверы делают точно тоже самое.

@SlippersInBox @retrorobreviews они уже сказали что концепты генерируют с помощью ии. это самое важно. и вобще глупо верить им на слово

@CobaltBl00 @that1Vulcan @BrechaCeja @AllCristina2 As I already wrote, it is quite difficult to convey your idea to other people. I can give an example from myself. My friend and I spent several days trying to bring an idea of mine to life. He got mad and told me to make an AI image to fully understand my idea.

@that1Vulcan @BrechaCeja @AllCristina2 A sketch also takes a fair amount of time to create (plus it carries a minimal amount of information). Plus, developers (not artists) also sometimes want to show their idea about a certain texture/location, etc., but conveying the information verbally to another person is quite

@SlippersInBox @BrechaCeja @AllCristina2 You can show your imagination to others. It's called a sketch. If you can't create a sketch based on what you imagine then perhaps the creative field isn't for you

@BrechaCeja @AllCristina2 So that other artists can see the idea and discuss it. You can't show imagination in your head to other people. The artist simply generates a rough image from his thoughts so as not to spend several hours/days on the drawing.

Any AI assets are used only as placeholders that are being replaced with manually created materials, says the Crazy Taxi: World Tour lead, Kenji Kanno, to Kotaku. “We used it as a reference, so our artists would pull up [and] generate some of their ideas, and then they would look at that, you know, generated image, and then they would draw the actual thing. So actual creators, everything from programming to assets, everything is made by an actual human. It’s only used as a reference for them to look at, and then they would actually create the actual thing that would go into the game.” SEGA is far from the first company to use AI for such purposes. While such publishers often face initial criticism, it seems that the tool is becoming the industry’s norm. #SEGA #CrazyTaxi

Sonic and all Characters@SAAC_News

Regarding the generative AI usage in Crazy Taxi: World Tour. While the fact is concerning, especially regarding the future of other series like Sonic the Hedgehog, the extent of usage remains vague. In the description on the game’s Steam page, SEGA hints at the AI tools only being used for technical purposes and for routine tasks to help the creators concentrate on creative work. Brian Shea, the Executive Editor at Game Informer, revealed that the AI was used for some background assets of the project, which are still “subject to review by the development team”. This wording generally falls in line with many other publishers who disclosed such usage of AI recently, those being Capcom, PlayStation, Bandai Namco, Square Enix, and many others. #SEGA #SonicNews

@Sonikko06 this is an interview from 2025, and they clarified in 2026 directly to their shareholders that every single asset in the final game was made by hand, and they dont plan to implement ai generated assets so no, the assets you posted are not made by ai and you're paranoid

@KrsJin Nothing prevents them from simply not stating this, because the use of AI cannot be proven (if it is done in high-quality (no matter how strange it may sound)). Don't be a Disney Kid, thinking that these сompanies are all so clean and fluffy.

@SlippersInBox Sapporo Studio was required by Steam to post that disclaimer. Which, was worded very carefully and vaguely, making readers assume it’s actually ‘worse’ than stated. Pragmata, which you used as an example, was not required by Steam to do the same disclaimer.

This sucks, man... 😞 I'm sure a lot of these began development around the early buzz/hype and it was probably forced upon them but still... Stellar Blade: Blood Rain and now Crazy Taxi? Saving my wallet and making my backlog more appealing at least :/

Crazy Taxi used Ai. So does literal every studio today. Be it on concept stage (outside code), be it textures, assets, you name it. It is your choice not to consume it, but it is useless. Companies think about $$ You tell them it is untraceable, they pretend they don't get it.

@KrsJin Sega does exactly the same as Capcom, PS, Square and other Japanese companies. All of them use AI, GenAI, etc. to some extent, but Sega just said it openly (and said that they use it as an assistant tool).

@SlippersInBox Sorry, I guess that second slide does mention the routine tasks. Of which seem very mathematical/computational/mundane outside of perhaps drafting (unsure of the context for that). Then goes on to mention more time for the creative side ie the art side ie the visuals and music.

@SlippersInBox Can’t tell if this is a joke relating to in-game lore or if serious. If serious, my answer is GenAI was not used in the development of Pragmata for any visual or audio assets. And despite loving the demo, I vetted that information before buying it.
