Most friendships are seasonal. Connections thrive during shared circumstances, school, work, neighborhood, but once the context changes, the friendship fades. The brutal truth is that many bonds are situational, not eternal, and pretending otherwise only prolongs disappointment.
Joseph’s story proves a point:
Family can betray you, people can forget you, but God will still elevate you. Your destiny is God-ordained, not people-dependent.
Be careful with the idea that ‘everyone is replaceable.’ Some people are truly one of a kind. If you lose them, life won’t hand you another version you don’t meet certain souls twice.
I'm a big fan of the "GPS Theory" when you miss a turn, your GPS doesn't judge you, it recalculates. No matter how many detours you take, it finds another way forward. Life works like that too. You'll make mistakes, but your destination doesn't vanish. The route just changes.
Dear ladies never forget that: The same world that shames me for being a single mother also shames you for not being a mother and shames another woman for having too many children..lt shames one woman for having a child at the age of 19 because she's too young but also shames another for having at 36 because she's too old..lt shames a woman who marries young as well as the one who marries old..It shames women who don't have beautiful bodies and shames those who go under the knife to get the bodies. This world shames all women, not a single one of us is spared, not a single one. So love and make yourselves happy.
I don’t know who needs to hear this but: Love shows up. If someone loves you they show you in many ways. Small ways, big ways, average ways but they show up. They answer. They are there when you need them.
One of my friends went completely silent for a whole YEAR. She locked in, chose God, chose sobriety, and didn’t look back. Now she’s in her new home, driving her new car, running her own hair studio/school.
When God says “detach,” you don’t owe anyone a reason. You just surrender. I never took her silence personal, and watching the blessings that followed her obedience has been beautiful.
