The most anger inducing instance I’ve had is when a doctor told me they didn’t have any knowledge of a condition I had be diagnosed with and when I offered up information about it the doctor declined and said “yeah I’m not going to read that because you probably don’t actually have that.” And then insisted I was just unwell because I’m a woman and all women are always unwell.

Years ago, my mother went to a neurologist bc of headaches & trouble w her eye. told her it was anxiety & told her to see a psychiatrist. 2nd, 3rd, 4th opinion, same thing. Not one ran a single test.Her ophthalmologist (our neighbor) took her seriously. He found a brain tumor.
