Petrol prices up 15%. Diesel prices up 27%.
Government minister "Download an app to find the cheapest fuel in your area and you could save up to 80p per week".
So, my weekly diesel tankful has gone up by £20 but an app will save me less than £1, (if I drive to a petrol station in the next town).
What planet are these people on?

Everton overspent over 3-year cycles but committed breaches deemed not to be deliberate
The punishment put the club's PL status at risk
Chelsea funded years of glory with deliberate acts of deception
The punishment. Have they really got one?

Everton v Chelsea, Saturday: The Premier League Punishment Derby.
In the home corner: 8 points deducted, law suits faced, prize money lost, the primary cause of it all: building an incredible new stadium, which hosts the game.
In the away corner: Corrupt payments to agents for players who led the team to sporting accomplishments. All punished with a slap and tickle. Hotels sold to themselves to comply with PSR.
Chelsea Football Club:
They Respect The Ball, But Not The Rules.

Interesting that in the Everton points deduction verdict the Premier League said “A financial penalty for a club that enjoys the support of a wealthy owner is not a sufficient penalty” and that “the requirements of deterrence, vindication of compliant clubs, and the protection of the integrity of the sport demand a sporting sanction in the form of a points deduction’.
Presumably the Chelsea fine (which ultimately is just a deduction from what billion dollar Clearlake will pay to billionaire Abramovich from the £150m held back at the deal date) is then neither punishment, a deterrent or protecting the integrity of the sport?
If I was an Everton or Forest fan would not be happy with this outcome.

The message from the @premierleague couldn’t be clearer. If we think you’re an important part of our brand, we’ll only pretend to punish you. But if you’re Everton or Forest, guilty of a much lesser rules breach, we will try to relegate you. Transparent and indefensible

Paragraph 135 of the judgment in the PL v Everton ‘…a financial penalty for a club that enjoys the support of a wealthy owner, is not a sufficient penalty’.
Chelsea get a financially penalty. Of course they do.
City will get same.
Corrupt. @premierleague

This is the punishment for 36 undisclosed payments worth £47.5m over 11 years relating to player transfers.
Reminder: the Premier League wanted Everton deducted 12 points for a £19.5m FFP overspend and didn’t think a fine was a suitable punishment
