We celebrate the life of Mama Zipporah Jerotich Kosgey, a devoted wife of Hon Henry Kosgey, a loving mother, grandmother and woman of deep faith whose kindness, generosity and service touched many lives. She will be remembered for the love with which she nurtured her family, welcomed others into her home and dedicated herself to her faith and community. Even in illness, she remained courageous, hopeful and steadfast, inspiring all who stood with her. In her memory, I urge Kenyans to embrace regular cancer screening and early diagnosis, which greatly improve treatment outcomes and save lives. As Government, we continue to strengthen cancer care through the Social Health Authority to ensure more Kenyans can access affordable screening, treatment and specialised care. In Africa, alternative justice mechanisms are not really alternative. Dialogue is not a substitute; it is our original, foundational justice. While litigation is imported, reconciliation is our true inheritance. The world is finally discovering what Africa has practised for generations. Quick, accessible justice is no longer just a social goood; it is an economic engine for progress and prosperity. As the continent integrates through the African Continental Free Trade Area, we must establish internal arbitration and dispute institutions to deal with numerous commercial cases that are potentially bound to arise. Currently, most major arbitration institutions reside outside the continent, and Africans make up less than 8 per cent of professional arbitrators. We must change this. We ought to resolve our cases on African soil and by local institutions and jurists who understand our context. Just as we have refused to export our raw materials, we must stop exporting our justice too. Addressed the Third African Chief Justices' Summit on Alternative Dispute Resolution in Nairobi.

Kenya and Tanzania share deep and enduring historical ties founded on good neighbourliness, mutual respect, and strong socio-economic bonds that continue to unite our peoples. Our discussions reaffirmed the importance of deepening cooperation on our shared opportunities, including improved livelihoods for our citizens.

As we bring the 11th Our Ocean Conference in Mombasa to a close, we must translate promises into tangible action. The health of our oceans will not be secured by declarations alone. We must find new and bolder ways of mobilising finance, harnessing technology and innovation, strengthening capacity, and accelerating the implementation of our shared commitments. Let the true measure of this conference not be what we pledged on the shore, but what we deliver in the water. Kenya stands ready to lead by example. We commit to fully implement the 50 commitments we have made at this conference towards our blue economy valued at over $1.1 billion (KSh142 billion). At the Port of Mombasa, we toured research vessel Dr Fridtjof Nansen, a state-of-the-art marine ship owned by the Kingdom of Norway, operating under the flag of the United Nations and managed by the Institute of Marine Research.
