Vanes Martirosyan, 39, passed away earlier today in Los Angeles after his two-year battle with skin cancer. Martirosyan (36-4-1, 21 KOs) retired after his fight against Gennadiy Golovkin in 2018. May the 2004 United States Olympian rest in peace.

Vanes Martirosyan has died after a cancer battle, he was 39 years old. A former U.S. Olympian and super-welterweight title challenger, Martirosyan also challenged Gennady Golovkin for unified middleweight gold in his final fight in 2018.
