Couldn’t wait to share this good Tuesday photo and video with you There’s just something peaceful about standing in your own yard and watching butterflies cover the flowers like they were personally invited. This sunflower was already beautiful, but then a butterfly landed right in the middle of it and reminded me that sometimes the best moments are the quiet ones happening right in front of us. No noise. No drama. Just sunshine, flowers, and God’s little reminders that there is still beauty everywhere if we slow down long enough to notice it. No AI here just me in the iPhone camera.

@DogsBczPplSuck Think about how many people don’t pay to feed their kids. Breakfast at school, lunch at school, some send food home for weekends. Summer food programs and now ice cream too. What a racket.

@TheRealisticRN I’ve seen some crazy people in the ER when I’ve been with my elderly Mom and Aunt. It’s a frightening experience and I can’t imagine what the hospital employees put up with. Too many violent nutcases walking amongst us.

I was an ER nurse. A patient assaulted me, I had a seizure, and the hospital fired me for it. I got attacked on the job. The system I gave everything to decided I was a liability and moved on. And I am nowhere near the only one. More than a quarter of nurses were physically assaulted in 2025. Most never reported it. Because the one who gets attacked is the one who gets blamed, written up, or fired. And there is still no federal law making it a crime to assault us. This is the person who will be in the room on the worst day of your life. I document what this system does to the people inside it. Follow along if you want the truth they won't put on the poster. 32 years ago, I took a chance and went on a blind date. And 32 years ago, a blind date turned into forever. We ate at Red Lobster and then went to see The Crow. We were both painfully shy. But I knew. I knew his gentleness would give me the freedom to be my authentic self. Finally. I knew we would have adventures together. I knew he was different from the others. Kind. Compassionate. Understanding. Patient. Over the years, I’ve watched him become so much more than the young man I met that night. He is the best dad. A loving son who is always willing to help. The friend who never hesitates to say, “Yes,” when someone is in need. The kind of person who quietly makes the lives of everyone around him better. Through every season of life, every joy, every challenge and every ordinary day in between, he has been my safe place, my biggest supporter and my favorite person to come home to. He is my forever. Thank you, God, for blessing me with this amazing man and for allowing us to walk through life side by side for the last 32 years. What a beautiful journey it has been. ❤️

@JMGLiving @atomic6120 I found that even with Mom in assisted living it still took most of my time. Just in a different way. And even now, all these years later, I still worry that I should have done more.

It’s a hard thing to admit but life has become very lonely for me. I’m 4 years into retirement and in a new state and it’s very difficult to make friends. Life is just different and it’s sad. It’s a tough season in my life. 🙏

Oh my. I’m losing my mind! Just got off the phone with my mom. Me: Where are you? Mom: Sitting at home Me: Why aren’t you at the airport? I’m sitting here waiting for you. Mom: You always get your days mixed up. It’s next Monday. I told you three times. Why didn’t you write it down? Me: Yesterday we texted and I said, “see you tomorrow. Ten right?” You gave it a thumbs up Mom: We were playing phone tag. I thought you meant you’d call me tomorrow at ten. Me: Who says, “see you tomorrow at ten” over a phone call? Mom: Apparently you do. Me: Oh this is just ridiculous. I’m headed home. Mom: That makes you late for getting me. Because my flight gets in at 10:00. You’d be late picking me up Me: How can I be late for something that’s not happened yet? Just text me your stuff. Flight number and dates so this doesn’t happen again. Mom: You’re still late by default. Me: I have no idea what that means. I have to go. Talk to you next week I will surely talk to her sooner but at the moment not in the mood. Lol 😂

This move is so stressful. It's weird doing this in a foreign country, because it's so different than moving in the US. The fact that we don't have a car to just take small stuff over is a nightmare. The house looks like a bomb went off in it. I'm worried about the actual move, even though I trust Esan will supervise this. These next few days are going to be awful.
