This is shocking: the House Rules Committee just blocked a vote on stripping the Save Our Bacon Act from the farm bill. The SOB Act, buried deep in the farm bill, would wipe out state bans on pork from crated pigs, condemning millions to a lifetime in gestation crates. We were getting very close to having the votes to pass Rep. Luna’s bipartisan amendment to strip the SOB Act from the bill on the floor of the House. Then pork industry lobbyists got to work. Behind closed doors, they got Rules Committee leadership to stop a vote entirely and protect the SOB Act from the scrutiny it can’t survive. The only option now is to kill the whole rotten farm bill. Please call your representatives at (202) 225-3121 and tell them to vote NO.

Democrat Senators are coming out against a proposal to make DC square again. As a Virginian, let take on some of their concerns. They say it would disenfranchise hundreds of thousands of VA Democrat voters. Silly… they aren’t being disenfranchised, they are just being redistricted. Calm down, Karen. Further breaking down this concern, I (and most of the rest of the State) don’t consider these people Virginians. They are a different people group with a different culture. Making them DC citizens will put them where they are most comfortable. Do the right thing and Make DC Square Again to preserve the real Virginia

Heritage has been warning about this since 2024. Our grassroots activists submitted more than 12,000 comments to the NHTSA opposing the kill switch. We also supported an amendment to a bill in Congress to stop it. However, 57 House Republicans joined Democrats to strike it down. Perhaps now that more Americans are aware of the scheme, those 57 will reconsider?

What @NC5 reporter Phil Williams couldn't have an "honest conversation" about is whether the SPLC has funded white supremacist leaders to disseminate white supremacist messages and get people to their white supremacist rallies. They have. Phil was trying to deny that the SPLC has done anything fraudulent and was exposed as either very unintelligent or dishonest. I tend to think the latter. At that point tens of thousands of people pointed out his inaccuracies and he's angry about that. That's all this is. And you are seizing on it because you disagree with my politics generally.

It's nearly impossible to reach the Sun because you inherit the Earth's inertia when you leave Earth. This means you're going at least as fast as the Earth's orbital velocity, which is 67,000 miles per hour (108,000 kilometers per hour), so you need to slow down. In the frictionless vacuum of space, it takes just as much energy to decelerate as it does to accelerate, so it takes the same amount of fuel to go from 67,000 MPH to zero as it does to go from zero to 67,000. NASA managed to get the Parker Solar Probe to the Sun by using using gravity from Venus to "tug" it in the direction opposite of Earth's orbit to slow it down. It took seven passes by Venus to accomplish this, orbiting the Sun 24 times. The whole process took seven years. It still didn't really reach the Sun, but now has a highly irregular orbit in which it passes close (in astronomical terms), and the Sun's gravity accelerates it so much that it gets flung back out to the orbital distance of Venus by the slingshot effect before returning. During those close passes, it becomes the fastest man-made object ever made, reaching speeds of 430,000 MPH (692,000 KPH).

An example of how they cook the books to absolve the Left of violence in the WSJ today: A graph it published that seems to show near parity between Left and Right wing political violence is sourced to the Center for Strategic and International Studies, which by its own admission reclassified pro-Palestinian violence as "ethnonationalist". It classifies all antisemitism as Right-wing, and all pro-Palestinian "attacks on Jewish individuals or institutions" as "ethnonationalist." This is just nakedly partisan propaganda presented as "data" and then mainstreamed in the American press. More in my column below linked.

Katie should have never lost her life, J. B. Pritzker. This was not random, and it was not fate. It was the result of preventable policy failures. Your administration helped create an environment where Julio Cucul-Bol was able to live unlawfully, evade meaningful safeguards, and ultimately kill her. If Illinois leaders truly wanted dangerous criminal offenders removed, they had every opportunity to work with federal authorities the way many other states have, without the manufactured chaos and political theater. Instead, conflict became the strategy. The lack of self-awareness in creating this accountability commission is staggering. The dirty little secret is that this administration benefits from the chaos. It keeps attention on ICE while failed Illinois policies on public safety, general competence at governance escape scrutiny. If anyone deserves an accountability commission, it is Illinois leadership itself. Accountability begins with telling the truth about the human cost of failed governance. ALL the data shows that way, way more political violence in this country from 1994-2025 has come from the right. It’s not even close. Only last yr, in 2025, did violence from the left exceed violence from the right. For the first time. The truth should still matter.👇

There are only about 10 Republicans in the House right now that are refusing to vote to reauthorize FISA without warrant requirements and a few other changes. The rest of them are completely fine with voting to give your tax payer funded government the ability to spy on you without having to get a warrant first. Trump said he will give up his rights for FISA and is demanding Republicans “ just pass it” even after FISA was used to secretly spy on his campaign and had been used against hundreds of thousands of Americans. The betrayals are increasingly so bad. I don’t know how they face their constituents.
