Last Friday we began installing our new Weighing Room facilities 🎉 Featuring a warm-up & exercise area, physio room and expanded catering. Which has all been designed to improve facilities for our visiting jockeys.

The same grounds, but a very different time. Where racegoers gather today, soldiers once stood. Hamilton Park’s history stretches far beyond sport and we will always remember the role it played.

Spring has begun 🌱 and the grounds team get extra busy with the track preparations that are now underway as we get ready for our first fixture of the season on Sunday, 3rd May here @HamiltonParkRC The countdown is on!

Hamilton Park has long been at the centre of the community. In the 1930s, the run club Hamilton Harriers (who are still around today) used the course for runs and competitions, cementing Hamilton Park’s place in the town’s sporting history. 🏃

Then & now 🏇 Constructed on the site where the Hampton by Hilton Hamilton Park Hotel now stands, a wooden ‘second-class’ stand once sheltered racegoers in the two-shilling enclosure. 📸 Photo dated 28th June 1930
