This proclamation was a crucial step in transitioning from eight years of armed conflict to peace. It marked the beginning of the end of tyranny on our shores and the birth of a new nation founded on the eternal principles of freedom, self-government, and God-given rights. The Revolutionary spirit that defeated the British Empire still defines us today. We stand as the descendants of those brave patriots. May we protect the sacred flame of liberty with the same fearless courage they showed. 🇺🇸
