@Mhoni_Hiyst It's mind boggling to think relegated West ham want 85M for Mateus Fernandez. That shows how inflated the market is rn

You guys already know my stance on this. I’d increase the offer to around €90–100m and sell. Maybe not immediately this season, so someone like Anthony Gordon can be integrated gradually without carrying too much pressure from day one. But by next season, Barcelona should seriously be looking to cash in on Raphinha. He’s approaching 30, and the injuries are becoming a concern. With the intensity and physicality of the way he plays, those issues are unlikely to improve over time. Sell while the value is still high.
Barca Xtra@Barcaxtr

Saudi Arabia wants Raphinha. Seriously. Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr are both preparing bids of €80M plus a wage package four times what he earns at Barcelona today. That's not a casual offer. That's a statement. Raphinha is Barça's best player right now. Flick built the system around him. Barcelona won't sell. But at four times his wages? That conversation gets complicated fast. 🔵🔴 Via @mundodeportivo

@AccessLamine He can rival Leo considering how far ahead he is rn compared to Leo and Cristiano at his age. Playing for Spain is also a huge plus. Leo and Cristiano had to carry their countries alone on their backs

@Mhoni_Hiyst True They bidding 90-100M cuz he plays for Barca. Would they do the same if he played for a PL Top 6 club like Liverpool or City? Barca are just bad at this transfer bs. 120M should be the starting bid from Saudi for a player like Raphinha

@BHAHA2008 We can't do it though. The Saudi clubs are getting smart so they don't overpay for transfers now. They may offer bigger wages in salary but now they hire European sporting directors so they don't overpay like that for transfer fees

Castello Lukeba is screaming Barça profile to me 👀💙❤️ 23 years old. Left-footed. Fast. Aggressive. Elite recovery pace. The age is right. The talent is there. The ceiling is massive. Culers, am I cooking or should Barça look elsewhere?

As a Barcelona fan, which version of Pedri do you actually prefer? The Spain version, where he operates with far less defensive responsibility and is freed from the burden of being an all-phase midfielder? Or the Barcelona version, where he constantly runs himself into the ground by having to do everything, like build-up, orchestration, ball progression, pressing, recoveries, duel-winning and chance creation all at once? From a long-term tactical perspective, the Spain version of Pedri is probably the more sustainable and optimized version of his profile. It preserves his physical condition while amplifying his ability to influence games in the areas where he is most dangerous offensively. This is precisely why Barcelona’s need for a physically dominant defensive midfielder remains tactically significant. A profile such as Amadou Onana or Mamadou Sangaré would provide greater defensive coverage, duel-winning capacity and structural balance behind Pedri. More importantly, it would allow him to conserve energy, operate higher up the pitch more consistently and maximize the creative intelligence that makes him one of the most influential midfielders in modern football. Within the Spanish national team setup, Pedri operates with considerably more positional freedom and attacking emphasis. He is able to receive higher between the lines, combine closer to the final third, arrive late into the box and focus primarily on progression and chance creation rather than carrying major defensive responsibility throughout every phase of play. The structural presence of players like Rodri and Fabián Ruiz allows Spain to distribute the physical and defensive burden more efficiently, preserving Pedri’s energy for decisive offensive actions. At Barcelona, however, Pedri functions as a complete all-phase midfielder. He participates heavily in the first phase of build-up, dictates tempo, progresses possession under pressure, supports defensive transitions, leads pressing sequences, recovers second balls and still remains one of the team’s primary creative outlets in advanced areas. Few midfielders in world football are asked to influence every phase of the game to the extent that Pedri currently does for Barcelona. While this role highlights the completeness of his profile, it also increases the cumulative physical and mental demands placed on him across a long season. The constant requirement to orchestrate, recover, press and create inevitably impacts both his freshness and long-term durability.

Pedri vs Peru: - 1 Goal - 2 Chances created - 5 Accurate long balls - 45/45 Accurate passes - 8.1 Rating These stats once again show how important Pedri still is. They also highlight how much more liberated he is with the national team compared to at Barcelona. With Spain, he has greater freedom to attack, create, arrive in the box and influence the final third, while carrying less defensive responsibility. At Barcelona, Pedri is asked to do almost everything. Dropping deep in the first phase of build-up, orchestrating play, pressing aggressively, recovering balls and creating chances. The difference largely comes from having players like Rodri and Fabián Ruiz beside him in Spain’s setup. Rodri especially removes the burden of being the primary build-up outlet and constantly covering ground defensively. That is why Barcelona still need to sign a proper defensive midfielder such as Amadou Onana or Mamadou Sangaré. A natural No. 6 would free Pedri creatively while also helping preserve his energy and durability during the decisive stages of the season when titles are won.

@Jeremiah_Rhym @FullTime90X True. Alvarez gotta speak up for things to happen. Both players are contracted to their clubs but Alvarez wants to leave but Yildiz doesn't.

@BHAHA2008 @FullTime90X Oh, so he will stay because signed a contract? But you have fans that don't understand Alvarez signed a contract with Athletico Madrid until 2030. This is why I believe it's a waste of time unless the player does something drastic to get out of said contract.

🚨💣 𝐄𝐗𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐕𝐄: There is a very outside chance that Barcelona could move for Kenan Yıldız if a deal for Julián Álvarez fails to materialize. 🔵🔴👀 🗣️ Sources close to Hansi Flick’s coaching staff indicate that, in the event the Álvarez operation collapses, the club could explore alternative attacking solutions rather than pursuing another traditional No. 9. ⚡ Flick is understood to be comfortable with using Ferran Torres and Anthony Gordon in central attacking roles, while Barcelona could look to strengthen the left wing by targeting Yıldız, who is highly admired internally for his versatility, technical quality, creativity and ability to play across the frontline. 🌟 🇹🇷 The Juventus star has long been regarded as one of Europe’s most exciting young talents, and Barcelona have been linked with monitoring his development in the past. Reports over the last year have suggested the Catalans have kept an eye on his situation. ❤️ An additional factor is that Yıldız is believed to have a strong appreciation for Barcelona as a club, which could make any future approach attractive from the player’s perspective. ⚠️ However, this remains only a contingency plan at this stage. Juventus have repeatedly shown their intention to build around Yıldız, recently extending his contract until 2030, while club executives have publicly stated they do not intend to sell him. 🔄 For now, Barcelona’s priority remains Julián Álvarez, but if that pursuit unexpectedly falls apart, the possibility of a move for Kenan Yıldız cannot be completely ruled out. ⏳ More developments expected in the coming weeks. 🔵🔴👀

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez teased a “total galactico” transfer target last week, a star player he said would cost the club €150million. But is that what they actually need? What should they do with the money? From a cheeky bid for Lamine Yamal or Julian Alvarez to the steel of a backline with Ruben Dias, we asked some of our writers how the money should be spent ⤵️ FREE TO READ: bit.ly/4uTDYRJ
