Amal Khalil is the latest journalist to be killed by Israeli forces, this time in a double strike while she was on assignment in southern Lebanon. Israeli forces then fired on rescue workers who were trying to reach her. An outrage. cpj.org/2026/04/cpj-ca…

Han convertido a los mareros tatuados en un show. Por suerte hay muchísimo periodismo que los pone en su lugar: criminales despiadados, pero también socios de políticos desde hace 14 años, pero también socios de Bukele durante sus ocho años de ascenso al poder total.

. @theintercept & @nickturse reporting CIA agents killed in Mexico "are among the first known fatalities of President Donald Trump’s expanding drug war in Latin America." Great scoop, but at least 180 ppl have been killed in boat strikes, plus 80-100 in Vz invasion...

The FBI looked into investigating a journalist for stalking because she reported on Kash Patel’s use of taxpayer resources in support of his girlfriend. The free press won’t be intimidated by such crude inquiries but it is another disturbing overreach. nytimes.com/2026/04/22/us/…

Bad Practice is a finalist for the 2026 Nonprofit News Awards (@INN), shortlisted in both the Best Investigative Journalism and Journalism Collaboration of the Year categories. news.inn.org/2026-innys-fin… A collaboration coordinated by OCCRP, Norway’s VG (@VG) and the U.K.’s The Times (@thetimes) with 45+ media outlets, the project exposed systemic failures that allowed doctors who have lost their medical licenses due to major wrongdoing — including sexual assault and botched medical treatments — to relocate and practice in different countries. Bad Practice couldn’t have happened without the indispensable work of our media partners, whose expertise helped identify more than 100 doctors banned in one country but licensed in another, still just the “tip of the iceberg.” You can read the full investigation here: occrp.org/en/project/bad…
