🚨The Trump admin has filed its reply brief in the birthright citizenship case before the Supreme Court. It opens: The “main object” of the Citizenship Clause was to grant citizenship to freed slaves and their children, whose allegiance to the United States had generally been established through generations of parental domicile. By contrast, aliens who are just passing through the United States, and those who cross our borders illegally, lack ties of allegiance and do not obtain the “priceless and profound gift” of citizenship for their children. To receive citizenship under the Clause, a person must be both born “in the United States” and “subject to the jurisdiction thereof…” That language grants citizenship to children “completely subject” to the United States’ “political jurisdiction.” Children of temporarily present or illegal aliens do not qualify because their parents are not domiciled in, and thus do not owe the requisite allegiance to, the United States. Temporarily present aliens are by definition not domiciled here, while illegal aliens lack the legal capacity to form such a domicile.

The City Auditor just exposed Mayor Johnston COSTLY & INEFFECTIVE All In Mile High homelessness program. @DenverAuditor “The public’s questions about the spending and effectiveness of this program led to my office looking into this initiative. Our audit AFFIRMS THEIR CONCERNS,” Auditor O’Brien said. “Housing thousands of people is a noble ambition, but our audit’s findings do NOT encourage confidence All In Mile High is delivering effective results.” Major findings: 💰They underreported costs by $20.1M!! The city claimed it spent $158M but actual expenses were $178.1M. ❌ No one is tracking citywide expenses. Each department just spends however they want with no consistent rules. ⁉️ They launched the program without doing a real needs assessment. ✅ Success metrics and goals keep changing. The public dashboard throws in EVERY homelessness program (not just AIMH), counts TEMPORARY hotel rooms and couch surfing as “permanent housing,” and doesn’t care if those people end up back on the street weeks later. Mayor’s office response? ‼️ They disagreed with 5 out of 12 basic accountability recommendations. 🙄 Called the $20 million gap “unintentional.” 🤐 Refused to hand over their expense spreadsheets to the Auditor, claiming they’re “deliberative planning documents.” And then there’s Cole Chandler, still out there gaslighting the public nonstop. Federal agents have captured a Venezuelan brother and sister accused of operating a Tren de Aragua sex trafficking ring in Seattle, a sanctuary city. Jose Luis Hernandez Perez and Andreina Del Carmen Hernandez were taken into custody on sex trafficking conspiracy charges. Authorities say they have been operating on behalf of the "Espartanos," a TdA offshoot active in Seattle and New York City. Andreina's alleged role was to post images of the sex trafficking victims online and secure appointments for them. She would then contact ringleader Barrios Garcia, who has been arrested in New York, to give him the greenlight that they had clients. Barrios Garcia would then send members of the Espartanos to pick up the sex trafficking victims and drive them to their appointments at gunpoint. The victims were forced to work six days per week, perform sex acts on multiple clients daily, and were threatened with death to keep them in line. Jose Luis, one of the drivers, was in charge of collecting the money. He has been accused of shooting another member of the Espartanos at the direction of Barrios Garcia. The pair lived near student housing at the University of Washington in Seattle. They are scheduled to appear in court next week.

When @nickshirleyy came to San Diego to investigate ghost daycares with me, word spread fast and they were hunting for us. At one point, our car was surrounded by a group of men trying to box us in. They chased us. In that moment, I felt complete peace. God was with us. And I was very grateful for Nick’s security team.
