@Elle_Ham06 These aren't quiet rooms. They're rooms with tiny booth desks where students have to sit in silence and stare at nothing, often for six or seven hours.

I hadn't heard of "isolation rooms" before as a routine school punishment but they sound terrible. I suspect GenX and millennials (like me) don't have much concept of strict school punishments. theguardian.com/education/arti…
