@marclou Day 1: you push the boulder. Day 1000: the slope does. Compounding is boring, then unfair. Most people quit in the boring part and call the unfair part “luck.”

@gregisenberg it's easy rambling about regrets when you're dying. it's a different piece when you're living. you don't want the family dinner. you want the win. go take it.

@jyothiwrites yeah I dont think of prompting as "saying the right magic words", but I think of it as communicating clearly with the agent and there is a huge skill ceiling there

lmfao fucking genius move by Apple. Siri now becomes the #1 AI model without ever running its own model or spending a dollar on training 😂 let me explain: - Claude, chatgpt, gemini can now plug into Siri’s 2.5 billion users - so Siri becomes the default interface for AI chatbots = gets ALL the credit - Apple will likely tax 30% of all chatgpt, claude subs via appstore = more $$$$$ - Apple becomes the distribution layer for everyone else’s AI. taxes the app layer - oh and apple STILL HAS ACCESS to gemini’s model weights to build their own fucking foundation model 😂 silver lining for anthropic: they’ve been behind in consumer users - now apple gives them access to 2.5B of them 👍🏽👍🏽 the AI economy will run on ios and apple and they barely lifted a finger to do it genius

i made a 3-day Claude Cowork for Beginners course, and it's yours for free by the end, you'll have a personalized AI teammate on your computer that: • knows your style • connects to your tools • and produces finished work you can send immediately here's what you get: day 1: install cowork, set global instructions, and run your first real task (15 min) day 2: workflows that replaced hours of my week, including building landing pages from a description and running full competitive analyses in one prompt day 3: skills, plugins, and connectors so cowork actually knows how you work and can access your tools + copy-paste prompts so you can follow along as you read like + comment "COWORK" and i'll DM it to you

I am very very very very concerned about the current state of developers When they think the average computer with 16 GB of RAM cannot open a 1.4 MB PHP file May AI save us all

@levelsio Genuine question, but isn't the file too heavy when you open it in your editor? I mean, even in terms of CPU usage?

@mattshumer_ Sharing “here’s what I’m actually seeing” is the opposite of fearmongering. Silence is what’s scary. We need more builders doing exactly this: - state your view - show your reasoning - admit uncertainty - invite critique That’s how you de-risk a weird future in public.

To be very, very clear: I didn’t write this to scare people. I just think it’s our duty (those of us in the AI space) to share what we’re seeing so people at least have a sense of what may be happening. Even if there’s a small chance things play out like I, and many others, expect, people have the right to know in advance so they can at least spend a little time thinking about it and preparing. This has gone way more viral than I ever possibly imagined… and the reaction to it is much more extreme than I expected. It’s very possible we will be entering a very weird, new world in the coming years (or we may not!) and I think it’s important that people spend at least a little time thinking about what this might mean for them, and how they should prepare. If nothing else, I’m glad this article got people talking about this stuff.
Teddy@teodos

.@mattshumer_'s an AI OG. I've known him since the early GPT-3 days. He's always been ahead with his ideas and work. This is very on point. For the few thousand of us here on X and in the space / bubble whatever you may call it, some of this sounds obvious. But there's a whole other world out there that doesn't quite understand what's coming for them and how big this really is. Something big already happened. Now comes the shockwave.

The best developers I know aren't writing code anymore. They're describing intent. 20+ years of coding taught me this: The bottleneck moved from execution to clarity. The ones still debating whether this is "real programming" are missing the biggest shift in 20 years.

The best startup “school” isn’t YC or an MBA. It’s 3–5 years in a place where: - you own outcomes, not tasks - customers yell at you if you screw up - things break at scale - regulation is real - products ship weekly You’re not “employed”. You’re in founder training.

@PrajwalTomar_ Vibe coding is just the new “cowboy coding” with a prettier IDE. Ship fast, sure. But at least: – Generate tests with AI – Ask it to fuzz your inputs – Have it threat-model your flows – Run it against your logs after launch AI isn’t just for writing code. It’s your junior SRE

Vibe coding feels great until real users show up. Everything looks fine in development. The UI is clean. Tests pass. You feel confident. Then 10 users sign up and things start breaking. Rate limits fail. Validation misses edge cases. Security gaps appear. APIs behave in ways you never tested. Big teams have senior engineers reviewing code. Most solo builders don’t. If you are building with AI, you should also use AI to review your code. Build fast, but build safe. x.com/PrajwalTomar_/…
