Despite being polytheistic fertility-cultists whose galactic headquarters is near Planet Kolob and their messianic Promised Land just an hour north of Kansas City, Mormons get the good press of being a notoriously polite, kind, and neighborly people with a low-crime, mutually respectful community with deep American values. That could be the fruit of their religion. Or… It could be the natural result of what happens in a homogenous, high-trust community which banned black people from full admission until the Carter Administration. But we’re not allowed to talk about that.

@LargeInStature_ How many wives did JS have again? What did Jesus say about marriage? How do you rationalize JS having between 30 and 40 wives to Jesus teaching marriage is between one man and one woman? Why do some Mormon sects still practice polygamy and overt racism today? Seriously🤷‍♂️

Now that the "Mormons aren't Christians" bandwagon is slowing down (or maybe I'm just not paying attention to it anymore), I must say that I've once again come out the other side with a renewed zeal and love for my faith.

Read the Book of Mormon. Cover to cover. Pray about it, asking sincerely to know whether it’s true (the final chapter provides specific guidance on this point). Then tell me whether Latter-day Saints believe in Jesus Christ. Will you accept that challenge?

Every argument against the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is based on nearly 2 centuries of lies about our doctrine, nearly 2 millennia of twisting Jesus Christ's teachings, and many millennia of misinterpreting scripture (the religious leaders even did that to Jesus). You won't convince anyone with logic. You won't convince them with facts. You won't even convince them with miracles. Only the Spirit of God can convert hardened hearts. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

@TomToepfer53 @FiredUpCoug 1 Corinthians 13 - “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.” A depressingly high percentage of our critics either never read this chapter or don’t understand it.

It amuses me that influencer pastors think they can convince Latter-day Saints to abandon their faith and entire way of life by saying mean things online. Most of us left home, at our own expense, for two years to serve as missionaries. We have heard MUCH worse to our faces.

I've been seeing a lot of posts about Mormons not being Christian. I'm not Mormon, I live in utah, they're some of the best people I know and they're very conservative (usually). The Christians saying they're not Christian need to clean their own houses.

What the Creedalists don’t realize is that there is nothing outside the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for me. If i leave, i leave Christ, and that’s not going to happen. I’ve seen, felt and experienced too much. Your attacks on my faith are nothing to me.

My best friend (who passed away at 37) gave me that book and told me Catholics make good Mormons.’ We laughed and it never came up again. I am so thankful that he didn’t have the attitude that Mormons on X have today or at least never gave the impression. I always pray that I will see him again and am confident I will. Best person I ever knew and I have known many.
