Here is the #1 lesson I have learned after interviewing 400 of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs and investors: You have to do the work. Consistently. For long periods of time. That’s it. There is no secret. No magic bullet. Just grind it out.

My favorite trade entry triggers: 1) Level recaptures ("fake breakdowns"). Any level that is lost and then reclaimed- shown below. 2) Trendline breakouts or breakdowns. Break out of a clean well drawn line 3) Entering in the middle of a tightly coiled flag/triangle pattern

This is a picture of Jeff Bezos when started Amazon. He just became the first person with a net worth of $200 billion. It doesn’t matter where you start. You can accomplish anything.

Pretty soon after starting trading, most people realise, ‘this ain’t quite the dream they were sold’. There are many reasons for this. I could start a list, but pretty soon that list will become a book. But here is a thread explaining one of the key reasons: 1/9

Charts have provided my livelihood for 45 years, but let me say this clearly Charts do NOT accurately predict prices Charting is voodoo science Lines on charts are voodoo lines Charts simply provide a way to set risk levels on a trade. Period!!

How to spot a bubble: I believe there are roughly 6 stages of a market’s valuation. People use different methods to justify buying stocks in each phase: 1. Multiple of FCF 2. Multiple of EBITDA 3. Multiple of Revenue 4. Multiple of ARR 5. Multiple of Bookings 6. Multiple of GMV

There is another aspect to this analogy. Some traders assume that open trade profits belong to them. This is analogous to assuming that the matching bets from other players in poker already belong to you before the hand ends.
Akil Stokes@AkilStokesRTM

My mindset in trading is similar to that at the casinos. Once my money is on the table (entering a position) I assume that I'll never see it again. This may seem odd but if I'm not comfortable taking the risk then I shouldn't be involved in the 1st place Quote by @PeterLBrandt
