@dreyfus04141314 he did, but it’s possible that he wasn’t exactly sure what he was doing so wrong. he wasn’t acting out of wilful refusal, but moreso Genuinely Not Knowing What To Do. he needed some sort of patient guidance or a wake up call, which he couldn’t get until his deletion

//TADC SPOILERS . . . . . How it felt to see Jax kill herself and regret her actions a bit too late as a punishment for her behaviour by the narrative, only for Caine to come back and say "im sowwy guys🥺"and be accepted even though he tortured them 36548x more than Jax ever did

#tadcspoilers ANOTHER THING. caine could’ve so easily laid down in the void and let himself die. if it wasn’t for his deep love for the humans, and his active desire to understand them and be better for them, he could’ve just let himself go. but he didn’t. because of his love..

@AveriZero0 right! i wish their support was enough to pull her out of it.. but it wasn’t :(( i love jax so much it really makes me sad.. but ultimately it was her own decision

@Kirwithdot if jax DID take accountability and offer to fix what he’s messed up, then maybe they’d let him integrate just as fast as they let caine. but unfortunately we’ll never know :/

@Kirwithdot + i do agree they let him integrate rather fast, but i think it makes sense to a degree: although sudden, he made an active choice to get better, and apologised and fixed his actions: something jax never thought to do, even when he was on the edge of irreversible abstraction

he didn’t know life without it, and was going to miss it. but he learns about the others and chooses to get rid of it anyway, for THEM, the humans he love, and the humans he’s been unintentionally hurting for so long. and that, i think, is lovely. :]

#tadcspoilers i think it’s so incredibly admirable of caine to give up what gave him power and what influenced so many of his controlling, aggressive behaviours. giving up the blue AI that gave his life meaning, ALL for the people he loves…that’s amazing, and such a big step..

+ that was built to learn, create, and improve. and live. but now he’s finally purposeless…which might feel weird. without the blue ai, he’s probably going to feel incredibly lost. but he has all the time in the world to help that. ❤️

+ got so power hungry and so desperate for control and survival that the power it gave him completely consumed him. it also influenced the most horrible parts of himself, and gave him those horrible thoughts…but now that he’s without it he can be himself: the little red dot+

got back from the screening and some more words about red/blue ai. Red obviously takes most of the control but blue gives him access to that power.. and that power and that control together messes with caine’s head and gives him a massive power trip paired with aggression. +
