I think calling it ‘The Left Party’ would be a bad idea. I’ve long thought The Green Party’s name holds it back - as floating voters subconsciously dismiss it as a single-issue party. For wide appeal, a name should be a concept most will instinctively support without judgement.

@TimesRadio They are most definitely not ‘offering an answer’, they are highlighting legitimate issues of inequality, access to healthcare, education, the cost of housing, energy etc. then taking a hard right to blame and vilify other poor people as a distraction of the real causes.
