Dion was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS), a rare neurological and autoimmune disorder that causes muscular stiffness, inhibiting the ability to walk and sing, back in 2022. She's working her way back into public life, having released her documentary, I Am: Celine Dion.

Per Variety and French-Canadian newspaper La Presse, Celine Dion is set to return to the stage with a string of dates in Paris later this year. She last performed at the 2024 Olympics, and before that hadn't appeared on stage since 2020.
