Day 1: Building DailyQuote app โ a simple app that shows a random good quote every day + home screen widgets (come later for displaying quotes) + you can easily share quotes as cards of different sizes with beautiful backgrounds. First time developing in React Native + Expo. Most of my mobile dev experience was SwiftUI, Swift, UIKit, and a while back native Android with Kotlin/Java (havenโt touched Android in 5+ years ๐ ). Vibe-coded the whole thing in ~3hrs today with ChatGPT โ most time went into finding the right react native packages & Expo config. Thanks to my experience with React & components & NextJS, picking up react native was smooth. Result? Pretty happy and great experience!
