Ever wonder why Wales' railways are so bad? Many people don't realise how much Wales has been screwed over when it comes to rail funding. Decisions to class projects like HS2 (that are only in England) as "England and Wales" robs us of billions. It also shows why NOT devolving certain areas allows successive UK Governments to underfund us compared to Scotland and Northern Ireland. It's complicated but people need to understand how the system fails Wales in order to demand change for the better.

Labour has dominated Welsh politics. Yet Wales boasts only 14,000 higher rate tax payers - a barometer of lack of prosperity. Will Plaid change that? Or Reform? Welsh voters disillusion is understandable. But they deserve better than soft nationalism or anti-immigrant populism.

Instead of having to sort it out at the gate, or worse on the plane, the system should flag someone has already checked in for that seat and have the staff deal with it upfront

2 weeks ago @British_Airways bumped me from my flight after check in bc they’d oversold it & didn’t tell me. I spent 18 hours in Istanbul airport, missed tickets to watch the historic England women rugby match & lost money. Still yet to hear anything back - honestly disgraceful

@ksum_parody @AlicePlez16 @British_Airways Used to have this on a regular direct flight to Nassau. Always sent on the less busy flight later in the day via Miami and a short hop down. Given cash on a credit card to shut me up. Negotiate seat upgrade and airport lounge for inconvenience on top. Doesn’t cost them extra.
