Skills That Make You Money in Web3 (Part 1): People don’t talk enough about the most important money-making skills in this space. Whether you’re a developer, designer, writer, trader, whatever you do if you haven’t mastered the skills below, you’re unlikely to be truly successful financially. Boldness: To be successful, you need to be bold enough to execute your plans. Being smart and creative isn’t enough if you’re not willing to try ideas no one has tried before. To stand out, you must be bold enough to risk looking stupid in front of the crowd. When I started in Web3, many of my colleagues were worried that I chose to niche down into one industry. Some even thought I was shooting myself in the foot. But today, many of them have also niched into Web3 and they’re now earning thousands of dollars from the space. Fortune favors the bold. Try that idea. Do it even if you look foolish. Keep going until your critics become your fans. Social Skills: In today’s world, strong social skills are essential not just in Web3, but in life. Being able to communicate clearly, network effectively, and influence people will open doors to opportunities that can make you a lot of money. For me, it has almost always been someone I met or someone I chatted with online who ended up opening doors to money-making opportunities. Without social skills, even if you’re the best developer, designer, or writer, you may still end up broke because no one knows you and you have no influence. The world doesn’t reward those who simply know; it rewards those who are known. (I heard this one from Xeus.) Adaptability: In the Web3 space, change is constant. There’s always something new happening. Because of this, you need to learn quickly and act on what you learn. Adaptability is broad. It means being willing to try new things early, learn on the go, and fail many times. If you understand evolution, you know it involves a lot of trial and error. Only the fittest survive. But if the playing field changes to favor something different, then what is “fit” must also change. Adopt these traits and truly embody them if you want to make Web3 money in 2026.
