@Cortez_J11 @micah_erfan So it’s alright for YOU GUYS to lie & use AI but a crime for others to do it? This is why US politics, on BOTH SIDES, are a trillion times worse than ACTUAL Communists & ACTUAL Nazis. Both sides are fucking retarded just like the people in both camps.

Nearly 1 in 3 Americans may have an undiagnosed iron deficiency, a problem that can lead to fatigue, brain fog and difficulty concentrating, a new study suggests. nbcnews.com/health/health-…

@jerry_in_japan @MikeLevin I did which is why I directly addressed cost of maintenance and the fact that other ocean monitoring systems won't cover the gap left by this "shift." One can read an opinion and disagree with it.

This is really stupid, and it’s not getting enough attention. The Trump administration is pulling a working $368 million ocean monitoring system out of the water, equipment taxpayers already bought, built, and sank into the deep ocean. And they are doing it right when the oceans are behaving in ways that alarm the scientists who study them. Record-breaking temperatures. A system of Atlantic currents that may be lurching toward collapse. The response? Yank out the instruments and walk away. That is not budgeting. That is smashing the gauges while the engine is on fire and calling it efficiency. For what? The Trump administration dressed it up as a “nimbler approach” and “smart lifecycle management,” which is fancy nonsense for “we shut it off and hoped nobody would ask why.” There is no return-on-investment analysis. They cannot show taxpayers save a dime, because the gear is already paid for and the science it produces protects real money and real lives. The kicker: the same people killing the monitors want to mine the deep sea for minerals. So they are destroying the only tools that could measure what that mining does. That is not an accident. That is the point. You cannot see the damage if you break the instruments first. cnn.com/2026/06/03/cli…

@MikeLevin Wrong. They’re shifting to cheaper, lower-maintenance tools like gliders, floats, and satellites — a “nimbler” approach recommended in prior reviews. Data archives remain, and other ocean monitoring systems exist.

@SeeDaneRun @FedEx Good luck with this. Had a claim go through @FedEx two years ago with a similar issue. FedEx ended up issuing a refund check but their process is to issue it to the shipper, who then claimed to never receive the check (gigantic multinational). $22k into the void.

So @Fedex delivers a package and "proves" it by showing a picture of my "mail room". One, that is clearly a front desk. Two, it is not my building. But FedEx won't do anything about it. I have to contact the shipper. Shipper tells me it has "indeed" been delivered and shows me the same picture. I have shown them the difference between their picture and my mail room. Am currently awaiting the next steps. Why is it always on the individual to overcome such incompetence?

@RedactedDeGen @RobertFreundLaw I guess I fail to see how this isn't protected as Pattie's work is transformative in nature. I'm not a lawyer but my understanding was that if a work is transformative it is fair use. I'm sure it's more complicated than that.

I met many of the least thoughtful people I've ever known in my Ph.D. program. All these people were, however, convinced they were geniuses. The correlation between being good at school and being high IQ is so much lower than people, including many Ph.D. students, can imagine.
