I've been to dozens of boomer yard sales and I've almost never bought anything.

"Boomers never purchase anything." Every boomer yard sale is full of thousands of junk trinkets and cheap shit from Dollar General that no one wants but other boomers.

> be HR Department > Spend years creating complicated hiring processes, endless DEI trainings, and mandatory workshops > Convince everyone you're essential for "company culture" and "talent management" > Meanwhile the best people get hired through simple referrals and direct outreach > Top talent leaves because of the toxic bureaucracy you helped create > Layoffs still happen and you can't stop them > Companies that keep HR minimal still build great teams In practice, HR often creates more problems than it solves. HR in 2026 still desperately trying to justify their existence is getting really pathetic. You think traditional HR is actually necessary or mostly just expensive corporate theater?

boomers are now discovering that actually the younger generations do not see them as wise and respectable but instead as evil and retаrded

boomers lived during a time of great economic excess. With compounding interest over many decades, every boomer should be a multi millionaire but the majority of them are broke? Is this right? If so, what were they doing??? finance.yahoo.com/news/why-boome…

Hey pal, I was working up north in the seismic exploration sector in 1971. I lived in a camp, worked from Oct. to April, 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, and earned $1.92 an hour. Millennials wouldn’t have lasted a month up there.

@dubsndoo Boomers bought their house in 1971 for 37,000,today you can buy the same house for 600,000….

In the past, your job pays you a nice livable low-inflation wage. Houses are very affordable relative to your pay. You NEED a place to live, so you buy a house because it's EASY. The boomer making massive (unrealized) gains off their house is not as impressive they believe...

@tekbog Is HR that bad in the private sector? I work for the government and they’re not bad in my city. I’ve actually seen some valid complaints go to them and they’re just like “shut up you’re fine, get back to work”
