What @Sony @PlayStation doesn't seem to grasp is that Destiny truly became something far greater than the sum of its parts; it's an escape, a pastime, a hobby, a meeting space, a proving ground, and so much more.
I've spent nearly 12000 hours in this glorious, flawed, beautiful, infuriating creation, and I would spend twice as much more without a second thought (not that I'm going anywhere anyway, I'll play until the servers shut down and then until the inevitable private servers explode with the heat death of the universe), but now ALL of that time that could've been spent playing, exploring, making memories can now be channeled full force into making damn sure their presence drowns in a sea of bitter dissatisfaction and pure, unadulterated vitriol.
And the best part? There are thousands just like me out there, all equally disappointed and equally as dedicated. They don't get the scope; we're Destiny players, all we KNOW is grind. We crave an outlet for our focus, and brother, we fuckin' got one now.
They'll keep seeing us where it counts; their online presence and public perception. And they WON'T be seeing me where it REALLY counts; at retail. I hope my fellow Destiny diehards join me in solidarity here.
I'm just a nobody with no voice or presence, but I DO control my actions, and that's exactly what I plan to do. This doesn't end in a week or a month for me, and I hope it doesn't end there for you either, fellow guardian.
Always hold strong to hope, and rage, rage against the dying of the light.
